If we're going face value I've mentioned doing Scratch a couple times I guessCreationist127 wrote: ↑September 18th, 2020, 7:17 amWhoever the Sassy is has probably been around for a while, being that they know all these people. The sig is "Deny thy computer and refuse thy stupidity". Possibly a Pi-Bot reference? I'm not sure.HugoTroop wrote: ↑September 17th, 2020, 3:35 pm Not to state the obvious but there's 5 users mentioned, although only 4 directly.
Anomaly, bernard, pepperonipi, gz, and East (and Benny but that doesn't count)
I think it's a reasonable guess that these are not in fact the targets (Anomaly could be, perhaps) and just part of the clue and writing
Edit: it also looks like they deliberately tried to not directly mention even names, with "oceanography" (the old name for DP/oceans) being the only one. Not sure if this has any significance or not, though, but the events look to be Anatomy, Game On, Sounds, and DP/Oceans
As for ID, i'm not quite sure what it could be referencing
Sassy mentions Scratch a lot... isn't there someone with the Scratch cat as a pfp?
I have scratch cat as my profile picture, but I'm definitely not well known enough to be the target or the sassy.Creationist127 wrote: ↑September 18th, 2020, 7:17 amWhoever the Sassy is has probably been around for a while, being that they know all these people. I was getting IRC feelings from the last clue, but I was most likely misinterpreting that line since I wasn't targeted.bernard wrote: ↑September 17th, 2020, 4:32 pmI've only talked about anatomy on IRC, so sassy is probably someone who frequented IRC around May/June.Assassinator wrote: ↑September 17th, 2020, 3:24 pm Am I the only one who is confused by the names Osteoblast and Osteoclast? I mean, "blast" sounds like destruction, yet osteoblasts build up the bones. I always have to remember this anomaly when doing anything with bones. They're supposed to act in tandem, roughly equaling each other's rate of progress. Osteoporosis is a terrifying concept. There's holes in my bones. Holes. In. My. Bones. On a semi-related note, I've never understood the etymology for "Endocrine" and "Exocrine". It's no surprise that Endo- and Exo- mean internal and external, as that's where the hormones are secreted in each system. But the root "crine" (from Greek krīnō) means "to separate", which doesn't make a whole lot of sense when the topic should be hormones and whatnot. I wonder if bernard has an answer.
Circuits might be a tiny bit of a stretch but I'd agree with meteorology 100%. It's also a lyric from Bohemian Rhapsody, if that means anything
Ngl I think we all activated small-brain mode for this game.Assassinator wrote: ↑September 19th, 2020, 5:04 pm So, uh, you let Umaroth die. There was a pattern you missed.
I'll go easy on this one, keeping it short and simple. No hidden messages or clutter or anything, just the clue. Have the free points.

Yeah, I'll admit, I forgot to prepare a clue for today. I've been a bit busy recently and lost track of the days... again.
Good. New clue coming tomorrow, and it's actually going to be well-written. I think.
