Sorry, but we wont tell you our efficiency until after states. I believe that either Sewickley or Shady Side won Tower at nationals two years ago, so I'm counting on one of them to win.

Probably a good call. I have a feeling one of those two (more than likely Sewickley) will win as well. I'll definitely be interested to see how B division scores come out though. I'm hoping Welsh Valley does well (since that's where I used to go and do bridges for), but we'll see what happens! Good luck Strath Haven. I'm sort of hoping that B division scores end up higher than C division scores, since I do think B is easier, but the winning C score for the SE regional were 500 points higher than the B division score. We'll see how States shakes out.

It's something the technology department at my school has - we use it periodically for engineering classes. I don't know how much it costs but I wouldn't imagine it's cheap. You'd get the same results from BalsaMan's method though - without the cost.
I used to video tape mine as well, but without a high-speed camera (also very expensive) you can't really tell.

Yeah I figured that it would be pretty expensive. I'd love to build Balsa Man's safety tower, but I'm still not quite picturing it.

Is there a way to upload a video onto the wiki? If so, I would like to do so for our upcoming states comp.

I don't know about the wiki, but you can for the image gallery. Just PM Dark Sabre about it.

How has everyone done at States? What have been the top efficiencies?

I'll post mine, since I won't be going to Nats. About 998-1000 efficiency, silver medal. And the sad thing is, mine broke.

I found scores for my regionals on our regional website. Here's the link:
http://www.gvsu.edu/mso-r12/index.cfm?i ... 0406F6678F
The top team had 1578, and only one bridge held all the weight and it got 2nd place. I got 9th place with an efficiency of 626. Remember this is regionals, not states. States are in 13 days!
Edit: Here are the Div. C scores:
http://www.gvsu.edu/mso-r12/index.cfm?i ... E2E72E6717 Top score was 1571.
