Over 200 words? Over what time period is that?

Re: Picture...This!
yea, i noticed that 200 words is nothing to be proud about. we got 9/25 words right and was tied with another school, but my team skipped fewer words so we placed first.oceangirl.007 wrote:Our team has about 3000+ words. Re: Picture...This!
Does anyone know much about how picky they are over the rules?
For example, they say that I can use a + or - to lengthen or shorten a word... Does that mean I can't use it for positive or negative?
Also, it says that +, -, and an arrow are acceptable symbols. Are they the only acceptable symbols? For example, can I draw a heart symbol for a heart, or do I have to make one that is anatomically correct?
If you break the rules, do they tell you as you draw or when they score?
My questions on this topic are endless... If anyone understands this.... I would love help! Thanks.
Also... Does anyone know how many words tend to be gotten right in regional competitions? I can't imagine getting very many........

Re: Picture...This!
You and use any symbol as long as it's part of the term. It would be impossible to do heart without drawing a heart. You can use + and - as long as it's part of the term. I think they are in the rules, but I don't have them with me. When you break a rule they judges call out PASS.
SO stressed!

Re: Picture...This!
It really depends on your judges, I guess. Ours wouldn't let us use + or - unless it was specifically to shorten/lengthen a word.
