Most proud moment...When my partner and I won 2nd place at Solon...I honestly wasn't expecting it, but it was pretty amazing!

Hmm...darn, such a hard decision.

In no particular order:

- When I got 3rd place forensics and 1st place forestry at state in my first year of SciOly :D
- Protein modeling: when I hold up the onsite model I helped create and see that it looks exactly like the Jmol screen :D
- When I received a forensics medal from Linda Wozniewski :)

My proudest moment was finally achieving my goal this year of medaling at states. I went out with a bang with 3 medals!

Getting 1st in the same event in all tournaments (Disease Detectives).

Well....I have to say....

1) When our team made it to Nats in our second year of scioly (last year)
2) When I got first at states for my topic with a new partner (<-- that I don't really like (at all) and who knows nothing (<--exaggeration <-- not by much))

Winning 1st in Anatomy at states when I thought I completely bombed the test... 18th in regionals to 1st in state is a huge jump.

Hmm, let's see:

As weird as this may sound(Science Olympiad all about da medals ) I think my proudest memories of Science Olympiad weren't even at the competitions. Well, coming into Science Olympiad as a 6th grader, I was pretty dumb (for lack of a better term). I picked up on topics pretty quickly, but beyond grade level science I pretty much knew absolutely nothing. While picking events, I literally picked the events that I thought looked cool. (Funny side story, I picked meteorology because I watched this episode of Curious George about meteorology when I was like 7). I know this isn't the smartest idea, but besides the events I keep, I still just pick events that interest me. The best part of Science Olympiad is when you finally grasp this concept that you knew nothing about before. My proudest moments in SciOly have been when I was in my basement in 7th grade before state studying for keep the heat and finally understood how thermodynamics works. More recently, this year I took up Crave the Wave. Just thinking back to 8th grade physical science and how unknowledgeable of waves I was, and then to this year and how I can grasp these concepts so easily is pretty gosh darn awesome. After all, Science Olympiad isn't the end result, it's the learning process to propel us through life

For 6th grade my best place was like.... 7th at regionals and mostly I was pretty dumb and mostly my partner did the work. So tha didn't even count. But this year so far I got 5 medals 3 thirds and 2 seconds and I actually did some work so that's heartwarming for me!

I wholeheartedly agree with this, but getting medals at difficult competitions can serve as a good indicator of learning.
