We were both surprised and impressed beyond belief that we did so well. (Personally, I was freaking out by the time team awards were being announced...my arms started to go numb...)
Congratulations to all the teams, especially the Solon schools for holding firmly onto their titles, and thanks to everyone who helped make this happen! This was an absolutely awesome National Tournament and I had a ton of fun.

That was my first nationals, and it was awesome beyond compare. I learned a lot, not just about Science, but also about my fellow teammates. We may have only gotten 32nd, but we had an amazing time. Thanks to the tournament staff, event proctors, sponsors, parents, coaches, and most of all the other students. ( and anyone else I forgot)

Some general thoughts: I thought overall, the whole event was coordinated and organized much better than last year's nationals, and I'm really hoping UCF can adopt some similar things to make next year's nationals better. For the first time ever, things actually started on time, and ended on time too, if not early.
Opening ceremony was OK. Didn't seem to take too long, although IMO the speakers were really boring. "Innovation" seems to be tossed around a lot, and having something more tangible/engaging (like Wisconsin two years ago) might be better. Swap meet was hectic, as usual, but fun nonetheless.
Competition day was awesome in a lot of ways. The signs posted around campus were really neat and helpful with directions. The campus was also fairly small, and they managed to get events pretty close to homerooms (ours anyways) so traveling was not an issue. REALLY would be nice for a large campus like UCF, especially with all those circles. The times were also well spaced I thought, nobody on our team felt rushed. 30 minute lunch break was nice!

Proctors were alright, had four events, so can't comment on everybody. The awards ceremony ran smoothly, and quickly, without much time wasted, so that was nice. The venue and screens worked really well I thought, communicated everything nicely. Major props to chalker and everybody else who made this possible. Lookin' forward to next year.
Cheers!

Congrats to all participating teams, ESPECIALLY to Harriton for a magnificent performance (so many gold medals) AND to Daniel Wright, whose team placing has not only steadily improved these last few years, but also for crushing the Division B nationals team score record set last year.
Also, a big shout-out and thanks to all the event supervisors and tournament directors for running such a memorable competition!!!
