In response to ichaelm: Your suspects list is interesting, but consider this: this assassin has been less than timely in replying to posts in this thread. Most of the people you've listed are on the forum regularly... unless of course, the late responses are a hoax of some kind.

Good thing the Assassin didn't make a new rule yet!
I just did a linguistic analysis of each possible candidate compared to the assassin. It is designed to analyze the assassin's linguistic pattern, and to find how the linguistic patterns of others compare to it. The results are in numbers; higher is closer. They should be related to each other linearly. Here they are:
Gneissisnice- 76
Pleiades- 38
Dudeincolorado- 33
Aia- 16
Starpug- 9
Vofbassist- 6
Rocketman- 5
Robotman- 4
Skystrider- 1
Tehkubix- 1
These are not made up. I actually used a mathematical algorithm to calculate this. It took an hour, but it was fun.
If I were you, though, I wouldn't completely trust me. Get some more evidence before formally accusing somebody. I have a tendency to screw things up.

Okay, but if you're wrong, don't get mad at me. Maybe they just talk alike. I am not coming to a conclusion yet.Pleiades wrote:someone should deff accuse gneissisnice. First the bah thing and now this.

Re: Scioly Assassination 11: Murder of the Minds
I calculated it by writing down the common dialect differentiators (like 'shame on you,' 'good luck with that,' 'very clever,' 'bah,' no appostraphies in conjunctions) that the Assassin mentioned, and then seeing how often other people used those words and phrases with the advanced search. Then I used a process of evening it out so that each differentiator was of equal value, regardless of it's frequency. Then I changed the value of each differentiator so that the ones that the Assassin used two times were worth twice as much as the ones he used once. I averaged it all to get the final score.Pleiades wrote:oh and out of curiosity, how did you calculate that?
I just realized that this would have been a whole lot faster in Excel. Oh well.

I'll tell you right now, it isn't me. This assassinator had me puzzled, word play is not my strong suit. If it was music or math, maybe. But you'll know when I'm assassinator because of my love of bladed weapons and explosives.
