I think that Nationals is a vacation, competition, a time to meet new people, and a time to bond with your team members. You wanna be able to just relax part of the time and not have to be stressed out.

That's exactly what I try to do but no matter what, i can't stop studying, and I can't relax, or have fun until after I finish my events. I get wayyy to stressed out

How's Augusta supposed to be boring when the National SO Competition is gonna be there...unless you think SO is boring.

I believe he means that there's nothing ELSE to do in Augusta. It won't matter, though, you'll find plenty to do there just because of the SciO stuff- there's always things to do even not during the competition/ceremonies.

There are other cities in GA to visit while you're down there, ya know.

Jacksonville's also pretty close, I think. What other cities are you talking about?

Oh wait, nvm, wrong city! Looking @ Google Maps it looks like Columbia, SC, is closer than Atlanta, but they're the only two major cities with easy access.

I don't know about other teams, but my team (if we make it) wouldn't be doing any sightseeing or anything. The only Nats at which we did anything that wasn't on campus was last year at GW, but that was because we were in DC and so we had national history shoved down our throats on a couple of insanely boring tours... I'd pretty much prefer a less eventful place, because then we'd have some time to relax :-)
