The answer to which is "All it takes is a little push." It's a quote taken directly from The Dark Knight, and I'm assuming it was the sassy assistant clue.

Okay a protect on Tails is a good idea. Anyone with that power should do so immediately.

As for the cipher XOR thing, https://cryptome.org/2014/09/vulcan-cryptanalysis.pdf There's a Vulcan encryption, formerly used by Motorola, that was noted for its use of XOR gates. Page 14 (Section 3) details how it's done. Am I motivated to do this? Not at the very moment, but I'll give it a shot later to see if it was actually worthwhile
