We should have been more clear with our question. Our question was kind of vague because we just mentioned air cooling but didn't mention air sinking/rising. Sorry about that.

Dewpoint will not change just due to a temp drop, you're right. But as Haby Hints says "The temperature and dewpoint fall together in saturated air." So dewpoint does change in respect to the temp only in SATURATED air. But then again, the dewpoint of unsaturated air changes by 2c/km so isn't it wrong to say that dewpoint will not change due to a temp drop? Or am I overthinking it?

I would suggest to know how to read/understand metar. Also know the abbreviations and be able to write metar based on given observations. After all, it is state!

Also, read this thread. It has a lot of info on it, or try the Meteorology Wiki or the [wiki][/wiki]
Anything else you don't understand AFTER looking at these, then ask here or, preferably, check Google. It seems to me that you've already asked this sort of question on this thread. :|

It would be appreciated if you abide to Forum Rule #2: "Posts should have a legitimate purpose..." :|

Also, we aren't supposed to teach you this material, but rather help you... eh... teach yourself (?). So try things like the rules, google, and maybe wikipedia. The links East posted above are also really helpful.

Also, don't expect people to reply at once. I don't knwo how familiar you are with forums, but let's just say it's not a chat room. Please be patient when waiting for responses.

Thanks! :D

Please understand that we are all willing to assist you but we can't exactly read your mind, so if you could specify what it is exactly you need help on, then that will increase your chances of receiving better help. Also as mentioned above, see if maybe the answer to your questions are on the wiki or on this 10-page forum.

It's going to take some time for people to answer your questions, considering you have any. We can't teach you everything there is to know about Meteorology. That's YOUR job. There are plenty of resources you can use, especially the ones listed in above posts.

yelling at people for help isn't the best way to get ur questions answered
also idk if u noticed but at the bottom of the site shows who is online, it is unneccasry to ask if anyone's there b/c most likely they wont, either somewhere else on scioly or not on at all
i reconmmed writing a specific question then coming back and check in an hour
people aren't going to be on 24/7 well....
this isn't a chatroom, people don't see ur post until they check scioly

also-does anyone have sites for weather instruments?
the wiki has a table of instruments but there isn't any pics of what they look like
