I'm sure that the kids that actually made the website took longer. It's bad enough that your coach decided that it was his right to give away another team's hard work to you; I think it would be even worse to post the website here.

i would count that as cheating your coach took it from the computers history not by asking the website address from one of the competitors so they have no way of knowing that you are using it so i would call that cheating

Compute This is my specialty event and the best I have done this year is 3rd at Ridgeview (I'm in Ohio). At the last tournament, our homeschool tournament (WL-S ftw!), after the competition was over, my Compute This coach was going around clearing all the history and found the website of Sewickly Academy, from Penn. I believe? They came in 5th place at the invitational. So I took the liberty to copy every single thing word for word, page for page, link for link, attachment for attachment...yeah it took awhile. I also took liberty to add stuff for myself.
Monday we took a Compute This practice test (me and my partner beat our other compute this team :D ), every thing except one short answer question was found through a link on our site, and then I found the answer and added it (got it right =D).
I was wondering if there are any major things I should add to the site to help us better? Regionals is this Saturday, and it would be the first tournament having the website, so I'm hoping we do good but I need to make sure. Anything I should need to add?
(PS wanna know Sewickly's Compute This website? )
I think it would be counted as cheating as your team did not actually do the work and are using it for your advantage, and your coach shouldn't have done it in the first place.

It's completely fair and legal to do that. Plus, the team couldve been more careful and deleted the history of the site.
I'm not feeling any guilt, considering it's all fair.
1.Your website should be made by you or someone on your team you should not be lazy and just copy and paste you links from another cite
2.A team that has finished a competition should NOT have to worry about clearing the history just so some loser like you doesn't steal the info off of their site

1) it is cheating...you took stuff from a website that another team made and used it for your own benefit, it doesn't matter if it was only links...and yes a website is legal, but it should be one you made, not one that you copied from another team...so yes what you did is stealing
2) its not the team's job to delete the history, its the event coordinators...as an event coordinator you should go through and clear the history in between each time slot and after the competition ends, using that for your own team is against the spirit of the competition
3)publically admitting to this is extremely stupid...you've just told many people in your state that you are using someone else's resources...including coaches, members of brain trust, and event coordinators...they know what school you are at, and what events you compete in, its not that hard to find out who you are based on that and DQ you at the next competition you are at

Thank you very much, cuz I'm not comin back. Bye //waves

Wait, I don't understand. Why can't you use a team's collection of links for studying?
