Re: SciOly Assassination 108: At the World's Fair
I protect myself because I've mentioned Ligeti on chat and carp -> invasives, which I do.Assassinator wrote:As I was arriving at my destination, I found dragon_fruit35 with my victim on a picnic. Frustrated by my subsequent failures, I decided to leave an ID clue, but you all would probably think about someone else.
I can neither confirm nor deny that you have correctly protected Fibonacci924.
On the other hand, I left you this as well. Carp is delicious, although Ligeti might disagree.
I accuse JohnRichardsim because, again, carp -> invasives, which is an event he does. He also regularly goes on chat, and some of the clues have referenced IRC things like Marathi, and Ligeti. The Glomar response part of the post reminds me of the conspiracy theory chats we've had on IRC (I know, not very good evidence for this one but oh well). SOnerd has "joked" about John being the Assassinator (again on IRC). On IRC, we are discussing the theory that "thinking about someone else" leads to John, which is a common name and thus would lead to thinking of others. Finally, I was prank-banned by him yesterday and he mentioned that "they can solve the Assassinator game without you".
I am a Person.

The sassy never addressed it, I was simply pointing it out:)dragon_fruit35 wrote:Fluffy said it's not himEntomology wrote:ahem, sassy.Panda Weasley wrote: I accuse Fluffy Crustacean because of similarities between posts and mannerisms.

Then that would mean bearasaurus (aka bear), but do bears eat carp?Panda Weasley wrote:I think that...dragon_fruit35 wrote:If so, what's the kill clue and what's the ID clue.I can accuse now if we find a worthwhile suspect.Entomology wrote:

It may have been a coincidence, but the sassy utilizes what is known as the Glomar Response in this quote.
EDIT: Sassy, did we get both an ID clue and a kill clue, or did we get just the ID clue?
EDIT: Maybe the carp part refers to Karp being the target, but also relates to the sassy somehow....is the ID clue. I feel like the answer is on the tip of my tongue, but I can't figure out what it is.Assassinator wrote: but you all would probably think about someone else.

As for the target: is the answer Karp, or the person who eats Carp?

Sassys (what is the plural of sassy btw? Is it sassys or sassies?) often lie. Although I am fairly certain it's not Fluffy. I just needed to accuse to get rid of my brain's nagging.dragon_fruit35 wrote:Fluffy said it's not himEntomology wrote:ahem, sassy.Panda Weasley wrote: I accuse Fluffy Crustacean because of similarities between posts and mannerisms.

Yes, bears eat carp.
This sassy seems to be a frequenter of the IRC.

As I stand on the banks of the Canal of Venice, I see Person sneak up on JohnRichardsim.
I smile, because like Panda Weasley and Fluffy Crustacean, people are pinning my attempted crimes on other people. To help you out, I could tell you that I'm just a little impaired.
I'm neither JohnRichardsim nor Fluffy Crustacean. And I am still at large.

Is it bad that my first thought was Dory?Assassinator wrote:I could tell you that I'm just a little impaired.
I'm sorry I had too! Look at the cuteness! The cuteness cannot be contained!
Okay, so who do we know has an impairment?

Aw, man, I was hoping it was John. Oh well. What kind of impairment? Could it be someone who wears glasses, and how would we know that?
