I REALLY hope that's not true. There's no way I could learn about the aftermath of all the big earthquakes and volcanoes.

i had a question about a historic earthquake and the damage caused by it, but it was the San Francisco earthquake, so it was easy to guess which one it was

They can basically ask you anything that pertains to the event list...yes, even history. But, it should mainly be centered around major volcanoes like Mt. St. Helens, Mauna Loa, Etna...etc.

I wonder what the state test will be like...hmm.

Heh, while you do that, I'm still worrying about tryouts... That's rather pathetic. For us, I mean. I think state is in March or April, and our tryouts are... Crap, a month from Saturday. I'd better go study.
My name is Eileen.

Can anybody find any good books for earthquakes? I've found a bunch for volcanoes, but nothing for earthquakes. Poor earthquakes...they must feel so left out. :D
Science Olympiad is a tribute to Murphey's Law. This has been proven experimentally.
And no, I'm not a guy...even though my sig says will robsinson. It's a reference to Lost in Space, an ancient sci fi TV show. And the robot is the character who always says the line.

Your school textbooks didn't have anything on earthquakes?

Not really. It was really basic, like "earthquakes occur when tectonic plates collide" and a little about the San Andreas Fault. That was it.

Wow, that's kind of sad. What kind of textbooks do you have? Ours had a lot more than that.
