Ok. I'm totally new to science olympiads. I've competed in the National Ocean Science Bowl and the National Science bowl. Can someone please explain like what it is, how it's done, and where I can find information and study material. My school is not up on the science department and so we're just now starting this science olympiads. HELP, PLEASE!
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Reality is an illusion brought on by lack of imagination.
Best thing to do is to find the one or two traits that help you identify an organism. For example, for phacops, you should memorize that they have large eyes, while cryptolithus has no eyes, or that worthenia is a short and fat gastropod, while turitella is long and thin. If you want to memorize things, dont bother memorizing everything; just remember the identifiable traits and have the rest of the information in your binder.
