Re: Pennsylvania 2013
Here are the top 10's from the Northeast region. Italics means the team did not qualify for states.
B:
1. Abington Heights (82)
2. J.T. Lambert (99)
3. Wyoming Area (134)
4. Wayne Highlands (143)
5. Stroudsburg (150)
6. Wilkes Barre Academy (189)
7. Dallas (190)
8. Jersey Shore (232)
9. Crestwood (236)
10. Martin L. Mattei (248)
C:
1. Athens (76)
2. Wyoming Area (140)
3. North Pocono (141)
4. Stroudsburg (168)
5. East Stroudsburg South (170)
6. Dallas (191)
7. Lehighton (197)
8. Wallenpaupack (219)
9. Delaware Valley (241)
10. Valley West (247)
Some interesting notes:
None of the top three of last year's B Division are in the top three of this year. Granted, one of them was Park Forest, which competed in NW (anyone have those results?) but still
Both Wyoming Areas seem to have recovered quite nicely. The high school was able to place second again, though North Pocono was just one point behind.
Division C was less top heavy this year, especially in the case of Athens.
I can't remember the last time Lehighton missed states. They've been one of the most consistent NE teams in recent memory.

Re: Pennsylvania 2013
Does anyone have results from the Northwest Regional?

Re: Pennsylvania 2013
I am a teacher at Wilmington Area.
We have not received the spreadsheet of results yet, I'm guessing it was really close based on the awards ceremony.
This is what I do know.
Division B:
1st Wilmington
2nd
3rd
4th Laurel
Division C
1st Wilmington
2nd Seneca
3rd North Clarion (I think?)
4th Laurel
If anyone can fill in the gaps that'd be great, it was hard to hear and it was pretty exciting at the end there!

Do you know if Park Forest and Mount Nittany competed? If they did, that's a pretty decent upset with Wilmington winning. Otherwise, I have no idea what region they're competing in, because they weren't at NE.

Re: Pennsylvania 2013
Mount Nittany and Park Forest have not competed in the NW Region for two years now. I think they moved to the central region when the NW switched from Clarion to Penn State Erie. Wilmington got 1st in both Divisions last year also. North East, who got 2nd in both last year, did not even make states this year. I'm sure it had to have been really close.

Re: Pennsylvania 2013
Well, last year they both competed in NE, but they weren't there this year, and I didn't see them on the list of teams for Central. Maybe they're competing in Southwest this year or something?

Re: Pennsylvania 2013
Hmmm I'm not sure then, did you see State College anywhere? I will post the link to the spreadsheet of results once they are e-mailed to us. The director said they were going over them with a fine tooth comb.

Re: Pennsylvania 2013
Wow, the point differences between Wyoming Area and N. Pocono, and then Stroudsburg and ourselves, and also Dallas and Lehighton were VERY small!EASTstroudsburg13 wrote:Here are the top 10's from the Northeast region. Italics means the team did not qualify for states.

Wyoming Area didn't compete last year right? For not competing for one year, they did pretty well.
Athens didn't do well in WIDI, but then again, that event was entirely upside down....
So far, what are the teams competing at States?
