Re: You know you've been in SO too long when...
very nice, sweetcoop
my coach asked me in, like, october if people were talking about events on the forums and I looked at him like he was insane because I'd been studying for months already and he was just realizing that we should organize some olympiad prep...
also, I have to add: when you have a typed list of all the event conflicts, which is serving as your team's master list, and you made copies for the coaches.

That sounds like my friends and I.
Science Olympiad is a tribute to Murphey's Law. This has been proven experimentally.
And no, I'm not a guy...even though my sig says will robsinson. It's a reference to Lost in Space, an ancient sci fi TV show. And the robot is the character who always says the line.

When you post on this form.
When you sign up for this fourm.
When you think of a reason that you know you've been in SO too long.
When you become an expert on your events and get a job involved in it.
When you know where 90 degrees north by 20 degrees west is.
When you laugh at some of the new teamates trying to build and scrambler for the first time and they mess up. Then you and the build one for them.

When your Earthsci teacher tells you that you know more about most of the information, so you're told to teach it.

When your (7th grade) teacher asks everyone what to do first on a scale, and you are the only one who says
"Calibrate it..."
"Calibrate it..."
"Hey Vegeta, what does the scouter say about his power level??"-_-
"IT"S OVER 9000!!!"*o*
"Over 9000? There's no WAY that could be right!!"

When you have this obsessive urge to calibrate a triple beam balance every time you get one in science. (Left over Metrics weirdness)
