Thanks for making a picture lolsoobsession wrote:yup. thats true...ill try to make a picturepjgscioisamazing wrote:Well since longer/hotter days are associated with summer, and the reason for teh seasons is the tilt, then yes, the tilt is what gives us teh longer/hotter days.hbk.showstopper wrote:so the tilt gives us longer/hotter days???
......../.........(''S'')
(''E'')

ok...ignore the dots. E is obviously earth, S is sun
the slashes is the axis...you can imaging the equator being kinda diagonalish...like that---> \ kinda slanting that way a little
now picture the suns rays....the energy of the rays will be most concentrated where you see the red quotes...so its summmer in the norther hemisphere...the energy will be more spread out on the E <-- that part of the E, resulting in winter in the southern hemisphere
erm....did that make any sense?
You are very lucky.pjgscioisamazing wrote:Wow. Most of my events that I have taken at competitions have stuck to the rules well. MY regional meteorology test was GREAT, and luckily the guy who wrote our regional test I believe is writing my state eventsoobsession wrote:First of all, I have not met a single fair and square procter yet. In fact, my meteorology test asked us to find the air pressure, temperature, dew point, cloudiness, wind speed, and wind direction from a diagram which we did not know how to interpret at the time (now we do) when the ruled clearly stated that the 2009 Meteorology topic would emphasize climate and climate change, not weather. So be ready for anything and studying outside of the rules is also a really good idea.
tat will depend on the person making the test but it will probably be as specific as the questions on the test i gave ucrabnebula143 wrote:Does any one know how specific the questions will be (on a state test ) for semi-permanent pressure cells?
thnx.
