There is no difference. Just a vocab issue.SirBobo wrote:So then how is it different from regular well?!?!? I AM VERY MAD

Yeah, what fuel said.SirBobo wrote:So then how is it different from regular well?!?!? I AM VERY MADmnstrviola wrote:Water table well = a well that taps water from an unconfined aquifer. basically, not an artesian well.
Aquifer
2 Types: water table aquifer and artesian well.
Which brings up an issue: what do you call wells that tap into confined aquifers but do not flow to the surface? I think that artesian wells have have flowing water, so I'm confused.

Well, I think a well where the water doesn't flow to the surface, but still enters a confined aquifer is an artesian well, and then a well where the water flows completely to the surface is called a flowing artesian well. But I'm not entirely sure and it is a really confusing topic.mnstrviola wrote:Yeah, what fuel said.SirBobo wrote:So then how is it different from regular well?!?!? So, does thismean I was right? And also, has anyone been asked anythin about the piezometric thingy on the above chart? I don't even know what that is!SirBobo wrote:

Yes, you were right. I got the exact chart for Muscatel Invites (it was the reason for my anger) and there was no question about the piezometric thingy.135scioly wrote:So, does thismean I was right? Re: Awesome Aquifers B
Okay, so say we have this aquifer. Here are the layers, from top to bottom
1. Confining layer
2. Unconfining layer, no water
3. (Water Table)
4. Unconfining layer with water
5. Confining layer
So would this be a confined aquifer (two impermeable layers) or an unconfined aquifer (water table)?
