2 Types: water table aquifer and artesian well.
Which brings up an issue: what do you call wells that tap into confined aquifers but do not flow to the surface? I think that artesian wells have have flowing water, so I'm confused.

Well, I think a well where the water doesn't flow to the surface, but still enters a confined aquifer is an artesian well, and then a well where the water flows completely to the surface is called a flowing artesian well. 1. Confining layer
2. Unconfining layer, no water
3. (Water Table)
4. Unconfining layer with water
5. Confining layer
So would this be a confined aquifer (two impermeable layers) or an unconfined aquifer (water table)?
