Quiz, I'm not happy with you right now. You aren't suppose to encourage/discourage accusations when you know who the sassy is. Much less when the person involved IS the sassy.
Of course, my moment of idiocy with that post in the NY thread didn't help. Any other thread, and I'd probably survive.
As far as the clues:
1. ophiophagus figured it out after the fact phillies = winner, email = @ = at, Milton Bradley = the game of life = life
2. thewinner got this one, epic music + fail blog + (this part he didn't get) all of us = science olympians == EpicFailOlympian
3. This one I solved myself to throw you off, albeit I didn't include all of the references this post: http://www.scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic. ... 95#p153995 got the ones I didn't mention
4. The beginning letter of each national motto...E, F, O
5. You got this, translate then take the beginning letters
6. Also got this, the sentence was a reference to kokonilly's avatar and then the base-32 conversion
7. Also got this one, take the smiley's in order as the appear on the post screen and call them a, b, c, d etc.. and you get brobodies
8. Never actually tried to solve this since I got caught but it was targeting ophiophagus. The crown on real madrid's logo = kind, the snake on the unions logo = cobra and then the last picture was a general reference to science. The scientific name of a king cobra is Ophiophagus hannah.

My goal for the game was to have reasonable clues, be organized (the only way I think the earn protects w/ accusations rule can work) and not have the game lag which I think we were pretty successful in that.

I'm not too pleased with how it ended, because frankly I think I had a really good chance to win this....as to why I targeted EFO 4 times in a row, I really don't know haha

Eh... you had a better chance than most would. But I think that is really pushing it...

This round wasn't that bad, but I hope that the next round has an interesting plot that clearly follows the rules. In other words, the game should be like games 49, 52, 44, or 56 which all had interesting themes/clues, but fully followed the guidelines for the games.

Well the rules have been changed since those games, this is only the second game with these new rules but I rather like them. But I totally agree with you on everything else.

You, having not been here long enough, are not in a position to judge the games and their rules.

Some of our more fun games (such as 44 and 49) have been unconventional, whereas some of the ones which played by the rules were not as fun.

Fm had a great game considering recent games, and he deserves such praise, not "wasn't that bad", kay?

Well the rules have been changed since those games, this is only the second game with these new rules but I rather like them. But I totally agree with you on everything else.

I think that settle's this. This was 2 minutes after brobo posted thinking about accusing fmtiger, so there's no argument of quizbowl not meaning to accuse someone else.

I think this should be a 2 game ban frankly.
I gave quizbowl a 1 game ban back in 60 because he potentially prevented them from losing an accusation. In this he sped up the ending of the game significantly. At the very least, he should be banned from being an officer for a round.
Whatever the rest of your notions on how bad this is, this was certainly cheating.
