Hey Everyone,
Do you have any tips for a first time competitor? I compete in about a week and I'm a bit nervous. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Read, read, read, read, read, read, read. You can download or print off all the information you want, but if you don't understand it or can't find it quickly, you aren't going to do well.

also it's a good idea to look at some previous tests so you know what you're up against, preferably tests from this year. Then you can look through it and find out the stuff that you didn't know.

The regionals test yesterday was extremely hard the winning team (our A team) had 31 out of 45 on the test and they beat other teams by a large amount. I got 10th with a 7 out of 45.

As far as I'm aware, they don't release state tests in Ohio.

I was told that it would be. Hmm... maybe I was told wrong.

What did you think of the Ohio State Astro test? I thought it was quite challenging...I defintely stared at the first problem for at least 10 minutes

. Do you remember the section where you had to find the distance to a star two different ways? I only got the distance via the distance modulus and refering to the cepheid period-luminosity graph. Do you know how to get the distance the other way?

Hopefully not, I don't think they're that mean to make it go on for four years.
