Well no one knows anything yet, but hydrogeology is a possible replacement for fermi, sure.

Just want to note that that post by Unome is unedited...I haven't checked the rest of the thread yet, but the first or second post should probably be edited if anyone has found any new conclusions.

I'll tip that some of the past cycles have been predicted either by being around long enough to explicitly hear what the cycles are (they've been noted in past iterations of this thread) or by predicting based off of https://scioly.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page-> (going to "Past Events") https://scioly.org/wiki/index.php/Compr ... nt_Listing. Also, sometimes people can figure out new rotations based on the nationals trial events whether there might be a new event in rotation.
Thanks

Hydrogeology is pretty unlikely to replace fermi. Past rotation indicates Fermi->Bungee Drop->Hydrogeology->(back to) Fermi. However, I believe Indoor Bottle Rockets is planned to enter the rotation based on discussions and a successful trial run at Nationals 2017

Thanks, but could Environmental chemistry enter the rotation?

Isn't indoor bottle rocket a build event, and environment chem a chem event, while the Fermi replacement should be a inquiry event?

Bottle Rocket/Hydrogeology/etc are all inquiry events, don't ask me why because idek

Huh, I was not aware that the 2017 trial was considered successful since I had heard the opposite. That said, I agree that Indoor Bottle Rocket is more likely than Bungee Drop.

Oof. Indoor bottle rocket can be really annoying, hopefully it's bungee :?

I think it was considered a successful "proof of concept" with the acknowledgement that changes to the rules will be needed - thats what Ive heard down the line anyways.

With regards to event changes, does anyone know what the objective of robot arm would be? In 2017, they had to deposit pennies into a target as accurately as possible, but in 2016 they had deposit different items into different cartons. Basically would it be something similar to 2016 or 2017?
