Has anybody been building and testing bridges with the new rules?
I've built one and am working on plans for a second. I haven't tested any yet because SO here doesn't start until November. The one I have made is 3/16 and 1/8 balsa with lateral bracing made out of 1/4 by 1/16. It's basically like the one you see on the EB rules, only with more of those diagonal things that keep the elevated span from collapsing (I can't remember what they're called).

Does anyone know a good way to get CA off your fingers? Or a way to avoid sticking your fingers to the bridge in the first place?
Good luck with that bridge. What is the weight, if you don't mind me asking?
And for the CA glue, I don't think there's a certain trick. You just kinda have to deal with it.

It weighs 20 grams. I'm hoping to make the next one a little lighter- maybe 15 grams.
Yeah, unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to end up gluing my fingers to a lot more bridges this year. Maybe I'll get lucky and be in Trajectory instead (but then I have to worry about hammers and saws). I can't win.

For CA on your fingers, I've found two good options:
1-sandpaper
2-learn to love it

Check somewhere earlier in the thread, somebody posted the specs. I'm too lazy to find them now.

I'll be not so lazy and tell you the new specs are 15 by 15 clearance, 20 max height, and the clear span (35cm) and the Bearing Zones (5cm on each side of the clear span) are the same as last year.

This probably sounds bizarre, but I found that if I did the dinner dishes after building a bridge last year, a lot of the glue on my fingers came off. Dish soap seemed to work well for me.
Otherwise, I'd agree with Blue Cobra: get used to it. : )
