Yep

Div C and Div B
Very impressive 28-composite from Mason HS, clearly they aren't losing their edge from earlier this year.

Looking at the results from the Ohio invitational season, it seems to me that a fairly clear hierarchy has emerged as the season wrapped up. Mason remains the clear front-runner. Solon finished the season much stronger than they started. Behind them is Centerville, followed by Mentor. Here is my justification:

Solon beat Centerville at Southview, going first (70) and third (156) overall, appearing stacked. Centerville's primary team - they stack all season - placed second (85), with their other two teams behind at fifth (168) and sixth (183). The superscores for these two schools result in a tie at 57 points, although it's somewhat difficult to compare the superscore of two teams (Solon) with the superscore of three teams (Centerville), as this is not exactly apples to apples. Overall, slight edge to Solon from these results.

Solon then went first (134) and second (145) at Mentor - without their major in-state competition - beating out Fayetteville-Manlius (157) and Troy (166), which are both respected teams from their states. It's hard to extrapolate that to Ohio's in-state competition however.

Solon once again went first (57) and second (95) at their regional tournament, significantly besting Mentor, who finished third (98) and fifth (117). Solon's 57-point total is reasonably impressive for the Northeast Ohio region, given the presence of Mentor, Beachwood, and Chardon.

To conclude the season, there was West Liberty-Salem, which gave perhaps the best picture of the field (other than Mason) as Mentor, Solon, and Centerville were all in attendance. Solon placed first (113) and third (152), beating out Centerville's primary team which took second (123). Centerville's other teams came in well behind at seventh (231) and eleventh (260). Mentor had a disappointing showing, placing fifth (179) and eighth (243).

While none of these tournament's help determine Mason's relative position in the later half of the season, I think their strong regional performance (superscore of 28!) and early wins still make them the overall favorite.

Therefore, my predictions for the Ohio state tournament are:

1. Mason
2. Solon
3. Centerville
4. Mentor

Beachwood, Westlake, Chardon will likely round out the other trophy positions. I would say that Solon has perhaps a 10% chance of beating Mason at the State Tournament (moving into first), and a 20% chance of instead losing to Centerville (moving to third). I don't see the National Tournament in Mentor's future this year.

It seems that Solon has picked up considerable strength from the beginning of the season and there is no real way to judge between them and Mason. A superscore of 28 is certainly amazing but lacks the competition of the other regions, particularly that of Mentor, Solon, Chardon, and Beachwood. I am interested to see the showdown at States for top 2 spots, will certainly be competitive.

It's important to consider that every year, Mentor usually gains a lot of ground between invitational season and states. I would not be surprised if Ohio's top four are separated by less than 5 points.

Wow Solon seems to have improved a lot from earlier this season. I saw that they had coaching changes over the summer and I thought it was going to derail their season, but apparently, they have picked it right back up.

While I wouldn't quite say there's no way to judge between Mason and Solon, I do think Solon is being underestimated a little. I'd give them a 25% chance of beating Mason and a 35% chance of losing to Centerville.

I believe Solon lost a fantastic coaching staff over the last couple years and the initial roughness in their season was adjusting to the new coaches and style of the program.
