Aesculus glabra (since there's really no big need to hide it) and we should start for Entomology, perhaps, by posting pictures of simple (easy to identify) insects, and once the list gets out we can get more specific.

Agreed. I'm relatively new to these forums, and I don't see any way to post a new thread on this board, so I'll just post the first insect here. This should be fairly easy (common name or genus is fine, extra kudos to whoever can get the full species name) :

It doesn't seem like anyone has posted anything on this thread in a while, so I'll just post another insect. I think I heard that we will also need to know larval and nymph forms, so this is an immature form of an insect. Common or species name is fine; I think we might also need to know orders and families so it would helpful to post those as well.
