I put the test exchange in its own directory and by how your browser works you may encounter a page not found. To fix, either clear your cache/history or use this link:
scioly.org/tests/.

Is there a way to adjust the KiB on my avatar? Every time I try an image is says the file must be below 6 KiB.

The maximum is there so that avatars do not take up significant server space.

Try going into MS paint and saving it as a different filetype (I usually don't have a problem with jpg).

Uh, via the user control panel?
I have a collection of 40-50 avatars saved to my computer that I switch freely between.
