I'm hoping that aging will have a focus on the other two systems, since musculoskeletal is practically two systems already. If we had to know the effect of aging on the entire body, that would be a lot of material to research.

Well, I suppose knowing the effects of aging on the entire body would make the event challenging, since cardiovascular returns.

Cardiovascular is mostly memorization, though -- plus people in the event last year would have a bit of an advantage with that system.

I feel like knowing the effects of aging on the entire body is similar to (as in, involving the same amount of information as) learning a new body system.

I just wish the rules would come out already, so I could know exactly what to research. At the moment I am just reading through the Cardio and skeletal/muscular chapters in my textbooks...

ya know, it's sort of sad that I'm already studying for next year... :roll: :|

I'm doing Anatomy & Physiology next year after a brief hiatus from the event during this past year. Looks like I'm going to have to study a lot...

I just began studying the Cardiovascular System and it seems pretty straightforward- fairly complex if you desire to be skilled at it, though. I'll soon begin the musculoskeletal system. (In soon I mean around 3 months)

I'll begin studying as soon as I'm out of school, because if I don't, I'll probably lose everything I've ever learned about the cardiovascular system.

Aging --> geriatrics?

I have just joined Scioly Forums as a user and this is my first post :D.

I specialized in Cardiovascular, which I am really glad I did since it is a system this year too. Anyways, does anyone know what they mean by Aging?

P.S @above, When you mean first at Anatomy, do you mean state?

Welcome to the Forums! (although they'll probably be inactive (maybe 10 posts per day) for the next 3-5 months). As for Aging, it has never existed as a system before, so no one really knows what to expect; sometime in mid-July, someone on the Forums will likely have the draft rules, and may or may not be active enough and willing to tell us what it says about Aging. Until then, it's mostly guessing.

EDIT: Also, congratulations on the first at Nationals!

Another Edit: Yes, he/she (coprolite_dipstick) got first at state.

I think it's also likely to include growth from childhood to adulthood. Just like aging in general throughout the human lifespan.

I actually think last year's systems (immune, cardio, integumentary) were easier than this years. AGING?? I don't even know what to study (for aging)!!!!!!! Do I study the effects of aging, or just aging in general??
