The root symbol is not allowed, however in my experience you can still do roots through fractional exponents if you have the appropriate numbers

3. Sartartia (I think)

1st Cy Ranch
2nd High School for the Performing and Visual Arts
3rd Cy Woods

Also for Gulf Coast C my team Stephen F. Austin High School got 4th and we are state-bound!!! My team was so excited when we found out today.

I was trying to imagine what it would be like to be in your position, since they only announced top three at the awards

15 or so, I'm not entirely sure
