Yeah, I would say that in MOST years, SW is the most competitive B division region.

No, more so in recent years. Sewickley only became a science olympiad power house a few years ago. Most recently, SW has been most competitive.

In fact, Sewickley made nationals for the first time in 2006. Shady Side was the top B school in PA until Sewickley came along. This makes their rivalry even more fierce.

I would say SE is most competitive, because SW doesn't have the sheer magnitude of good teams. There are really only 2 in SW.

How do you think PA is going to do at Nationals?

Its such a tough region that you never know who will win. Last year durring the awards ceremony everyone thought connestoga was going to win and they were 2 points away from second. Absolutely nothing is predetermined and it will be a very very very close regional.

'Stoga in 3rd was 40 pts behind 2nd place P-Crest. (Check http://projects.juniata.edu/scioly/paco ... scores.pdf ) But yeah, SE is rough, and has some great teams in both B and C. It's always interesting
at regionals last year for se penncrest won, harriton was 2nd and stoga was 2 points behind harriton.

Don't forget about NE in B, guys. We have some good teams as well that have placed high at states (Stroudsburg-4th, J.T.Lambert-6th :D , Greater Nanticoke-10th, Wyoming Area-11th). Wyoming Area only missed the top 10 by three points. SE may be more competitive than us, but after Sewickley and Shady Side in SW, there's almost nothing. I would say that in order of competitiveness in B, it's SE, then NE, SW, CE, C, and NW. In C it's a different story, as it's SE first and everyone else is just about even.

Probably really well, at least C division.

Last year Harrinton + Pencrest did really well last year, so whatever team who goes to national will undoubteley do well.

for B:
Sewickly will probalby do really well in nationals, its almost impossible for them not to go.

PA's actually a really competitive state.
