Context:
We just got through dictators week in AP euro, watching a documentary on Mussolini on Tuesday, Hitler on Wednesday, and Stalin on Thursday.

Today, our euro teacher said that we needed a change of thought and gave us a quiz. It was on 80's bands, which I know absolutely nothing about. There were 19 questions where we had to listen to different bands playing different songs. Naturally, I didn't have a clue on any of them, so I randomly guessed minor/major characters in European/Asian history, like Wlodislaw Sikorski, Fumimaro Konoye, and Auguste Scheurer-Kestner. Some of my answers were uncannily close to the actual band name, most notably I guessed David Lloyd-George instead of Pink Floyd.

In an Academic Team practice once, we had this exchange:

Coach (reading a question): "Identify this East African country based on its list of rulers-"
*I buzz in*
Coach: "...I didn't even read the list yet, let me read it".
Me: "Nah, it's ok, I wanna answer. Ethiopia".
Coach: "...What? How did you get that?"
Me: "Well, the only East African countries with notable leaders are Egypt and Ethiopia. I figured that Egypt was way too obvious, and I assume that the last name on that list was Hallie Selassie, one of the rulers of Ethiopia."
Coach: *looks at list and sees that the last name on the list is Hallie Selassie* "...How...what?"

My other favorite was:

Coach (reading a question): "Lepidolite..."
Me *buzzing in, interrupting the question* "Mica".
Coach: "...Yes."

I have done several things like that.
When I was five, I started lecturing a curator at the Museum of Natural History in New York about the fact that they had only found the forearms of Therizinosaurus and the fact that yes, I knew that it was probably an insectivore or herbivore.
I also corrected a curator about a display at a local sciencecenter about Mars having two moons, Deimos and Phobos, not zero, as the display stated. I was about five for this, too.
And kudos to gneissisnice about correcting him. That is the story of my life.

When I get bored, I Google random biology stuff, like the phylogeny of the Phoronida. I also correct my fossils book (Smithsonian). IT NEEDS AN EDITOR!
I would have corrected a tour guide when he made no mention that sago palms were cycads if my parents didn't stop me.
I also go on rants about how museum exhibits don't have accurate info all the time.

Ok.. I explained to my Chemistry class why we don't exist, but our rather a computer simulation created by a post-human civilization for their amusement. I blew the minds of half the students; the other half got really upset. The teacher thinks I am either a genius or belong in an asylum.
Also I post on Scioly and have edited the wiki so yeah....
