Exactly. And seriously, what is the problem with a slightly socialist economy? It can help make capitalism even more powerful in minor amounts, and the way it is being suggested is nowhere near full socialism.

kinda. I learned it in 5th grade but forgot most of it except that the book made it seem suckey.

Well, if used too much, it isn't practical. But as I said, in moderation, it can make capitalism even more powerful and make a stronger economy.

Put in simple terms, I just failed at failing at failing.

I didn't call him a socialist. I just said he encourages some socialist policies, like Universal Healthcare. This is socialism, which is, in fact, government takeover of essential industries. It's never worked though, at least in Europe, and now those nations are moving back to capitalism.

Um, actually, socialism is not a completely bad system, as i said IN MODERATION. Universal Health Care is not going to destroy capitalism. It simply means that less people will be sick and not able to pay greedy health care companies. That doesn't mean that you have to have the government option. You can use private. It simply means that private companies can't do whatever the hek they want because people can now always switch if they want to. And, socialism has not failed them in Europe, it is just they don't need some of its policies because they are stable now without wars every other decade like with WWII.

I don't like the part about no buying insurance across state lines. Thats WAY overplaying the commerce clause of the Constitution. Maybe I like Kansas's health care coverage better...
