Re: Junkyard Challenge B
VERY IMPORTANT FOR CHALLENGE B.2.: You can't pull back the arm of your catapult with your hand. You must indirectly release the catapult.
Didn't know if you guys knew this already.
I also have a new length for my catapult: 1.58 meters, golf ball, pulled back by hand. When I conduct a full test of it, I will use a trigger.

Re: Junkyard Challenge B
Full Test: 1.03 Meters, 6 golf balls hitting the plate, with trigger
This trigger DEFINITELY makes it harder to shoot as far as pulling back with the hand.

Re: Junkyard Challenge B
We have a distance of ~4 meters, and we're pretty accurate too
Does anyone have a good design for Bouncer?

Which ball are you using to get 4 meters? Also, did you use a trigger?fishman100 wrote:We have a distance of ~4 meters, and we're pretty accurate too

My best is just 136 cm with the golf ball, all 8 hitting the target plate.

Plastic golf ball and we are using a trigger (but that's our secret!) for Catapult.skillfullparrot7 wrote:Which ball are you using to get 4 meters? Also, did you use a trigger?fishman100 wrote:We have a distance of ~4 meters, and we're pretty accurate too

And everyone seems to be fretting over a good Bouncer design; you don't really have to worry. If you find it hard, the other teams probably will too

No our bouncer and ramp are great!
But may I ask why almost everyone uses a golfball? why not tennis ball?

Re: Junkyard Challenge B
Really? what was your design for bouncer?
And about ramp...if the Event Supervisor chooses that then we WIN. No doubt. Automatic 1st place.
