Irisvirus has been active, and iris germanica (purple letters decoded by vigenere with pawn) is the taxonomical name for a purple flower, hence the purple letters.

Iris is definitely being targeted. The color, fact that (s)he is a pawn, and the vigenere cipher all connect together. Strongly recommend a protect on irisvirus

TheCrazyChemist wrote:Ok, down the rabbit hole first. I'll focus on the sigs. I believe the most common way to castle on the 5th move is through the Indian Defense, or ID. In the second sig, 5 E's were capitalized. In the third, it was talking about a fools mate, also known as a 2 move mate. The fourth sit contains 3 capitalized r's. I have no idea what all of this means.
Now to the clues. I've played out a situation that fits the clues perfectly. The only possible targets are pawns, unless the sassy is targeting TCS again. I don't know what to make of the rest tho.

EDIT: Germanica was the name of a legion on the Germanic front once led by Caesar, with a presumed emblem of Taurus. Maybe the target is a history geek? I do like history, and I've mentioned doing some history competitions on the forums, but I haven't really broadcasted it.
:| Why do I feel like I’m being targeted again... I’ve expressed being a history aficionado frequently in the TPBM thread and it makes sense if the sassy goes in for a double attempt... Therefore I protect myself based on the reasoning above.

Ok so we have a little bit of time to work on ID...

We’re probably looking for someone in codebusters who likes chess. Scrolling up, people mentioned T2D and a couple other people... any other ideas?
