Compared to two years ago when SE was 1-5 and 8. CE was 6. NW was 7. NE was 9. C was 10. SW was 12.

Yeah, that's the point that I mean. I know that they also took away one team that goes to states from SE C last year, which didn't make sense according to that.

Does anyone know if (and where) you can get the states event schedule for the competition? Also, are you able to see the schedules for regional competition?

They pretty much never post the states schedule on the internet until about a week before the competition (If ever). Usually it has to get mailed to you for you to get a copy. For regionals it depends on your region.

Yeah, we get our regionals schedule in January, and the competition is in March. I wish they sent it out a little earlier, say around Thanksgiving, so we could plan earlier.

Usually people are sent the schedule a little before it comes out online, but it is almost always online at least a month if not two in advanced.
