I don't get it, what's the difference between Shock Value and Circuit Lab?

The name, in essence...Circuit Lab was a Division C event that was all electricity and electronics - Shock Value has simplified that part and added magnetism.

I studdied completely the wrong thing for shock value then because I read multiple books about electricity and electronics, so I need to know DC motors batteries and basic circuits?

You still need that other knowlege, but yes, you need to uhnt down and interrogate ohms alw websites and other similar things. Try borrowing college physics books from teachers (science teachers have most of them) they have plenty of extra infromation about ohms law and potential difference/energy.

I wouldn't say you studied wrong - you do need to know about electricity and electronics, that's what the event is essentially about. It is simplified from what Circuit Lab was, which wasn't exactly complicated either. Plus you need to understand magnetism and how it relates to electricity.

If you studied more than you actually need to know, that's not wasted at all.

A high school physics book should have information on basic electromagnetic concepts. You can surely look in a college textbook, although I'm not sure how much extra it would offer for this event - most college physics textbooks differ in that they get into the derivations of the formulas, which you're not at all concerned with, as long as you understand how to apply them.

Yeah that is true I will just review simpler concepts, its less complex than I originally determined.

on the topic of magnitism, what would be the best aspects to sudy for that?

Yeah, this event doesn't seem that hard. I was learning new things for CTW until the day of States, but I'm not sure what else I need to know for this.

Ok, any advise on how to find that information???
