I welcome a 20-25 foot gym, I think it is a harder optimization problem. Anyone can wind up and point up!
If 20', I would expect 2:30 to 2:45, if 25, perhaps 3 minutes.

Has anyone seen this years list of national ESs?
EDIT: It also looks like all the teams from one state share a homebase?

We typically don't post that prior to the tournament.ScottMaurer19 wrote:Has anyone seen this years list of national ESs?

Honestly, it's not like it matters... the writing style of the tests is usually pretty consistent though.

It actually matters a lot and that is only true for events that are sponsored (disease) or have a set supervisor (forensics, chem lab)CMS AC wrote:Honestly, it's not like it matters... the writing style of the tests is usually pretty consistent though.

Full agreement here. Chem Lab is a good example of an event where being prepared for the event supervisor's particular test style can have a drastic impact on placement, although it applies to all events.windu34 wrote:It actually matters a lot and that is only true for events that are sponsored (disease) or have a set supervisor (forensics, chem lab)CMS AC wrote:Honestly, it's not like it matters... the writing style of the tests is usually pretty consistent though.

That necessitates knowing who the ESes are, especially for those events without easily predictable ESes.CMS AC wrote:Most people look at the ES's previous tests though, I do too.
