hello!! does anyone have any r&m binder tips/shortcuts to make my life easier during testing? i know the basics (ex. lots of tabs, condensing info, etc), and if anyone knows of any useful charts and tables i can print out. thanks !!

I have lots of useful charts but for the most part you are going to have to make them yourself.

Print pages off Mineral.net and check the Scioly wiki, thats all you need.

Print pages off Mineral.net and check the Scioly wiki, thats all you need.

Its also good to make your own so that you know them better.
That and making your own allows you to use a format you want to (i.e. alphabetical instead of by hardness).

I have a question about the types of coal. On a test I have taken recently it says that bituminous and lignite are sedimentary rocks, where as anthracite is metamorphic. On the list it states that all are sedimentary. Which one is right, and which one should I answer with(during other tests)?

Anthracite is the most metamorphosed type of coal, but it's still a sedimentary rock - most sedimentary rocks undergo some sort of pressure + heating anyways (bc they have to lithify somehow, yknow?). Also, science aside, I'd go with sedimentary bc that's what the official list classifies it as lol.

Always follow the official list (unless you are taking last year Westlake and MIT. Then go with metamorphic)

How would you go about determining the cleavage of a sample? I'm having trouble with this :/
