Does anybody know how to mount your motor or change your design so that when the thrust fan is turned on, it doesn't imbalance the craft and cause it to tip forward and fail?

Depends on the batteries you're using. Just match the gauge of wire to your batteries and motors and you should be fine.

According the Science Olympiad website for Hovercraft, it says centrifugal blower fans should be used for Lift. Can anybody show or describe what is a centrifugal blower fan? I Googled it but they were not was I looking for a Hovercraft.

Can anybody recommend what type of fan would be effective as thrust fan? I would also appreciate it even more if a link was provided. Thanks.

We're using drone fans for both lift and thrust, works pretty well, but i recommend you experiment.

I think we would all appreciate it if you could stop begging people to find parts for you. See what works, see what doesn't. Having the best build score at Nationals last year, I can assure you that truly knowing your craft is better than outsourcing it to someone else.

If you want to lift enough pennies, 9v or AA wont cut it. You need NiCd or NiMH, preferably 6-7 cells in count. Find the biggest, baddest fans you can get your mitts on, and throw some Russian Steroids in the mix. Use wires that wont burn or melt, and use motors that could chop a finger off. (Literally, in my case). Despite what your mother may tell you, it is both the size of the ship and the motion of the ocean.
