We're still waiting on the second trial event.

Oh, forgot it wasn't posted yet. Disregard that ;)

Sorry for the double post, but anyone got any clue of what it might be?

As much as I hate to say it, there's a very good chance for Sumo Bots.

Personally, I get bored of driving less than an hour to states and having to be bussed there on Saturday morning again since I lived so close... This is going to be so much fun!
Let me explain a problem that has not yet been mentioned. This year our school will no longer pay for transportation and hotel fees for any clubs due to budget cuts and this money now needs to be fundraised. I think we can agree that a trip to Buffalo (which someone mentioned that longest case would be 3 nights) will cost more and require more fundraising than a trip to West Point. So this is a little bit of a problem for my team and probably for other teams that do not receive funding.

On the other hand, I really am very excited for this trip. I am looking forward to having fun with my science olympiad friends but not the 8hr bus ride. The distinction here is that I am looking forward to spending time with the team, just not while sitting on a bus for 8hrs, I would much rather be at a hotel instead. I like roadtrips but I think there is a point where the length gets too much and this trip definitely exceeds that point.

I don't think that they'd bring it back, honestly. We had sumobots for the longest time as a trial. I'm predicting a study event for once.

Last year it was Mag Lev and Bottle Rockets for Div B right?

No, it was sumobots and MagLev. Bottle Rockets was, and still is, a B event across the nation.

If we get Sumo for states, I probably won't even do it.

I kinda want bottle rockets back. That event was awesome.
