Georgia 2017
Re: Georgia 2017
Just had a random question pop into my head. Does anyone know why they don't distribute all of the tests back at State Division C?

It's very uncommon for regional or state tests to give back tests. I've heard it's because it depends on each event supervisor.BrS wrote:Just had a random question pop into my head. Does anyone know why they don't distribute all of the tests back at State Division C?

All the Regional level, the same test may be used at multiple Regionals. At the both the Regional and State level, many event supervisors will reuse their tests or parts of their tests from year to year.

Since you're here; do you have the team list for Dodgen? (rfscoach wrote:Unome wrote:It's very uncommon for regional or state tests to give back tests. Re: Georgia 2017
Dodgen Results:
Invitational Flight:
1) Dodgen A (63)
2) Vickery Creek A (87)
3) Fulton Science Academy (106)
4) Jay M. Robinson A (145)
5) Fairview A (172)
6) Dodgen B (181)
7) Vickery Creek B (185)
8) Clinton A (198)
9) South Forsyth A (218)
10) Jay M. Robinson B (230)
Gold Flight (generally for newer/less competitive teams, though idk why Lakeside or Hightower Trail is here):
1) McCleskey (103)
2) Hightower Trail (128)
3) Durham (192)
4) Coleman (211)
5) Lakeside A (214)
6) East Cobb (217)
7) Autrey Mill (233)
8) Friendship Christian B (242)
9) Kittredge (243)
10) Lakeside B (250)
Anyone have any thoughts? McCleskey still seems to be doing pretty well, and will probably qualify for state. Also, a note: Taylor Road won five gold medals (iirc more than any other team in Gold Flight), but no-showed a lot of events so they ended up in 13th. Vickery Creek is pulling ahead of FSA, and Dodgen is still looking strong. Kittredge seems unusually weak (I'd have expected to see them in the top 3) but it could just be a consequence of team culture/not going to invitationals very often.

Re: Georgia 2017
UNG-Dahlonega is coming up this weekend. Since we in Georgia are blessed with team lists, I'll be bold and predict all of the places!
Note: From the information I've seen via email, St. Andrews doesn't seem to be attending, so I didn't include them. I'll probably be drastically off a few times from someone no-showing, but hopefully my predictions are alright.
1. Brookwood 2. Chattahoochee 3. Walton 4. Brookwood 5. Chattahoochee 6. River Ridge 7. Walton 8. Wheeler 9. North Forsyth 10. Collins Hill 11. Stephens County 12. Lumpkin County 13. River Ridge 14. South Forsyth 15. Mill Creek 16. Wheeler 17. Harrison 18. Stephens County 19. North Forsyht 20. Woodland 21. Lumpkin County 22. South Forsyth 23. Mill Creek Everything below 11th is basically a wild guess, but whatever; it's fun!

UNG-Dahlonega results (state qualifiers bolded):
Note EV was not included in scores due to... problems.
Removed, see below. Score corrections happened.
Analysis when I get home.

Obviously I haven't been on in a while (yay overachieving), but a huge congrats to Hooch for the clinch! Great job Unome and anyone else on the team (Jaol? bonysteak? Idk anymore).
Okay, back to the salt mines for me.
