The livestream is front and center on the state website, so looks like I'll be joining all you New Yorkers that didn't make state (plus other weird people like me) on Saturday.

Good luck to those competing right now at States. Hopefully it isn't snowing there now!

Busy volunteering at MI regional (region 8 to be exact) for Astro and Reach, but I hope NYS was a fantastic competition as ever! Hope all the teams did great and learned well.

Edit: Also got online right when we get to gravitational waves, woohoo current events.

Syosset and HHHE tied for 11th with 478. HHHE won the tie on # of gold medals. Both had a lot of good events and a few disasters - HHHE in particular, with two in the 40s and one in the 50s.

CHS had some 10th graders good enough to be on their A team this year, and our current B division 9th graders are actually quite good, so I wasn't surprised they did well at states. Even with the seniors graduating, Vlieg has been cultivating a good crop to send up to Prout. Now, the likelihood of us cutting off Gelinas or Eagle Hill this year is... :| We swept regionals just as well as last year, but not as much as we were hoping.

Now, to B states! Anyone have a list of the teams that have qualified so far? GMS and HVC are all I know right now.
