Wow. thats intense. I've been playing around with the idea of a digital scale as well. I havent had any luck, mainly because i didnt think of using my calculator as well. i will have to try this.

quick question: ive read the rules, and ive come to a conclusion i would like to be confirmed. it does not help us to go over 1 meter in height correct? we are shooting for 1 meter on the dot?

and random other question referring to uncle festers response, does the width have any effect on your final score besides for tie breakers?

whoa. read the rules again. is this what the tier 1 score looks like:
abs(official mass-estimated mass)+time+height?

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but what is a digital inertial scale?

I asked a stupid question, then read the rules and answered it myself. So forget it, please.

I don't think this is right. From the rules:
Tier 1 and 3: Ranked by |Official Mass – Estimated Mass| Low score wins tier 1 and 3
Ties in tiers 1 and 3 will be broken by Time (low score wins), then by Height (high score wins).
Time and then height only become a factor if there is a tie in score.

ahh that makes sense i just thought time and height were more important than that... there may be another copy of the rules... i swear i read something that said you want you device to be 1 meter high... oh well.

edit: another question, Uncle Fester, how were they able to make a digital inertial scale without using commercial scale parts? i get the whole calculator part but im struggling with the actual scale.

To Uncle Fester:
What was the first place score, and can you post the scores?
