They were not " told to drop" extra teams. Schools were asked to notify state directors if they would not be bringing all the teams they originally signed up for so those spots could be offered to the teams that could not make it to regionals. There is a difference.
Every year, at every regional, there are teams that registered, but don't show up.

Results from SPSU: (state qualifiers)
1. Chattahoochee
2. Macintosh
3. Milton
4. Kennesaw Mountain
Overall, it was a rough tournament- as in proctoring. I don't want to get into details, but they reused many of the tests from state last year, including the poorly written ExpD test.

See, I told you not to discount Macintosh. Sorry about the bad events. I had hopes it would be better since he who shall not be named was less involved.
SPSU typically reuses tests from year to year. It is unfortunate that they reused the bad ones.....

But we're still going anyway, haha.

Unome - did you really pick Kennesaw Mountain at #4? If so, I bow down to you.
Samlan16- Good luck to Milton at State. I wish I could be there. It will be very interesting this year!

No, I predicted Fayette County, but I got the other three.

Is Alpharetta just not good, then?

...I don't know what happened there, but they did reasonably well at Brookwood.

Sorry for the informal results
GA state tournament
First place- Dodgen middle (79)
Second place- Fulton science academy(87)
Third place- Vickery Creek(160's)
Fourth place- Trickum middle (172)
Fifth place- Elkins point middle (187)
P.S. I didn't actually take part in state but I came to awards because my brother takes part in FSA's team and so do I but I was on B. Also, I might be a few points off on some of the scores.
