Simple Machines B/Compound Machines C
Re: Simple Machines B/Compound Machines C
Compound Machines C: The rules specify that we're allowed to use all three masses at the same time on our machine, but is there actually an effective way to do this to find the ratios?

The same rule exists in Div B, but my partner and I haven't found anything. If it exists, it would probably cut your time down under 30 seconds though.espeoNN wrote:Compound Machines C: The rules specify that we're allowed to use all three masses at the same time on our machine, but is there actually an effective way to do this to find the ratios?

This has been discussed in the past and I do not know of anyone who has a GREAT method to use all three weights simultaneously.

Re: Simple Machines B/Compound Machines C
How're everyone's times on their machines (division C)? Lowest I've heard as so far would be <1 minute, but I haven't heard a lot recently.
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Re: Simple Machines B/Compound Machines C
For Division B I did a practice run in 47 seconds and was .02 off one ratio and .2 off the other.. Is that good or should my partner and I try to speed it up and be more accurate than that?chinesesushi wrote:How're everyone's times on their machines (division C)? Re: Simple Machines B/Compound Machines C
That's a point score of about 45ish, depending on the percent off for the ratios... you should be fine unless you're in the Northeast or you get unlucky and are against someone really good.slytherin wrote:For Division B I did a practice run in 47 seconds and was .02 off one ratio and .2 off the other.. 18.6 for ratio 1 and 18.3 for ratio 2. They would have been slightly higher had we not messed up our levers beforehand.chinesesushi wrote:How were your ratio scores?samlan16 wrote:We got 47 seconds at a recent tournament.chinesesushi wrote:How're everyone's times on their machines (division C)?
