This past state, Auburn Junior High didn't place in two events, Picture This and CJAP, 4th and 6th respectively.

In our state 4th place just gets your name mentioned but you don't get a medal such does 1st,2nd, and 3rd.

In Georgia 4th also gets medals (I think Dodgen and FSA each had one 4th, so if I remember correctly we placed top 3 in 16 events each).

Hahaha, if 4th got medals in Alabama, I would've gotten 2 extra medals last year and 1 extra one this year. OH WELL :?

Crave the Wave, about half the points at state were solving λν=c. It was my first tournament doing it, and I got 2nd with 1 page of notes.

In Illinois B and C, there are two teams that ALWAYS get first and second - Marie Murphy and Daniel Wright in B; New Trier Winnetka and Stevenson in C.
100% of deaths are somehow caused by science.

Well the 2014 awards ceremony was separated B and C (two different ceremonies), so we didn't see the Division B awards, and literally every other year I had done Scioly B winners were Marie Murphy and Daniel Wright. (And we also hate SAA because when I was in junior high, they were at our regional and is2g they had more coaches than competitors.)

Note that S&A qualified for Nationals in 2014 on a tiebreaker. Thus, MM was in a position that I wish on nobody. That's as hard as it gets!
