gneissisnice, it looks like i will not be seeing you at states

(see list on post above--my team? not up there)

Awwwwwwwww. =(
And Eaststroud, for our school, in the jr high we wait to make the teams; we see who comes to practice, who knows their stuff, what events we need filled, etc, and we make the teams based off that. Gelinas usually competes with 10 people at regionals, so we have room to move people up. At the high school, we go based on past performance and what events are needed. Seniors generally get priority, but thats not always the case (this year, we only have 5 out of 7 seniors). We have one varsity, and the rest of the teams are made based on who wants to do what event with what partner. So team 4 is not any worse than team 2, its just how we organize them.

From Lake Erie/Niagara (based on memory, I hope I'm correct):
1. Williamsville East (Team 1)
2. Williamsville North (A Team)
3. St. Joe's (Team 1)
4. Clarence (A Team)

The Capital Region teams going to States are...
1. Columbia <--- My school!
2. Niskayuna
3. Balston Spa
4. Roxbury
Interestingly, Nisky B team actually came in 4th, but they can't bring two teams so the spot was given to Roxbury

Hey, would you happen to be Andrew Li? Because if not, he's doing all the same events as you and he's from Long Island (in my school).
If so, hi Andrew.

Hey gneissisnice and htmlfreak, I'm not sure if you know me but I'm Roshan and I used to go to Gelinas until 9th grade, I never actually went to Ward Melivlle. I'm sure Andrew will remember me if that is him, but Gneissisnice let me know who you are if you know me

Oh alright, yeah I don't think I knew you. I'm a junior now, and I left Gelinas at the end of my ninth grade year; so you were already at Melville by then. But I was only in SO during my seventh grade year then so you probably couldn't remember me from that. But, I definitely know Andrew, it'd be great to know that he visits these forums too

trajectorygirl: i don't think states is on the same date every year. its always in march, but the date may vary. definitely not march 14th tho...SATs.
so theres just 2-3 teams left for NY regionals?
