The event was run really well.
Thanks! :D Besides issues with the scale and missing S-hooks, things went fairly smoothly.

I wanted to note that the only team that held the entire mass placed 7th. Also, Eagle Hill's was the lightest one to medal, I think it was around the 8.5 g range.

Welp. My boomilever broke the second siciscio and I put the bucket on. I was laughing a little at the fact that my partner poked me and whispered, "Look, that's EAST!" It was really nice to meet you, but it would have been better if I wasn't competing with a 104.3 fever and crying all day.

Well, now we know. My partner and I probably also would have done better if Gelinas owned a BOOMILEVER TESTING WALL! We weren't the only ones from our school to have it collapse just as soon as the bucket was attached...

For the reccord, EAST looks a lot younger than I expected, and nothing like I'd imagined. Very, very, nice though. :)

Well I know where one S hook was--in the bucket of sand that I was pouring into :D

I would have said something, but I was concentrated on testing...

Yeah... we found it eventually haha. I was watching the sand and saw a glimmer of metal and I was like THERE IT IS.

DIVISION B - SOLON Inv: 989 is is pretty decent score, correct? Well, it took that just to to get 8th place at the Solon Invitational! Winning score was over 1300... 2 teams in the 1200's 1 team in the 1100's, 5th place was 1033. Pretty amazing competition! I heard rumors that 7 of last year's top 10 National competitors were in attendance. Tough, tough competition!

WOW those are amazing scores. Still, I prefer to use the division C scores to know the competition because you know what they say, reach for the stars... We have a 11 gram boomilever with a very reliable design, and previously we used stronger wood and slowly got the mass down. God-willing we will test today and hopefully it will come out great!

I have a question about testing (probably already posted) I can't use sand for my boom (long story-can't change this) what would be the best alternative to using sand that doesn't really cause a mess if it spills.
