Although I no longer compete for them, I brought the rules to my former coaches, who didn't think they were available for another month. Lol.
Speaking of which, Marie Murphy may hold an invitational this year, being NSCD is not. So if this happens, I'll see you guys there if you go. ;)

Id feel rather creepy going to a B div invitational... Too many short people although Chia could fit right in :P

I do miss helicopters though. I think some part of me will always love that event, it really did show me that engineering is for me and my respective major of aerospace engineering

I bought rules so i got them a week or so ago and have reviewed them but too busy to actually act on any of them. I should get on that but not sure when ill have time in the near future
Although i did make the inventor part files for the robot arm sections i will custom build so later i can just plasma cut or print parts when the time comes
Nothing may be done until close to january... Scary thoughts there...

Skink: did u send me a PM? It appears to have disappeared....

Funny story on that note...at one of the B invites last season, two high school girls (who could easily have passed as middle schoolers) were helping supervise one of the build events. Between runs, an eighth grader comes up to them and boasts that he will get 1st in this event and goes on to making a move on them. I wasn't there, but, based on what they said, this was the most fail thing ever that you usually see in Disney channel original movies or something. He told them he's in eighth grade, runs XC, blah blah while acting all 'cool'...anyways, suffice it to say, neither did he medal nor did he find a girl at a science competition  . Not even close.

Heh. I've thought it was funny that I haven't been mistaken for a middle schooler more often... I don't remember it ever having happened since first semester of freshman year.

I sent a couple of PMs right before the brief downtime and they seem to have disappeared, too. They don't show up in my outbox or sent messages folders. Weird...

Palatine Invitational Registration website wrote:Competition will follow the 2012-2013 Regional event schedule.
...Which doesn't seem to have been released yet, so back to square one. If I remember correctly from last year, though, it should be around now (first week of October). I'd like to hear the more official date too, if it's out there :T

Also, happy, um, 22nd birthday, thsom? :P

If it's really a big deal, have your coach connect with the tournament director. But, really...is there a rush? I'd expect to see the schedules pop up in the next, I dunno, two weeks, perhaps? The tournament is still over a month and a half away, and that goes without saying when all of the others are--much later.

Haha, that'd be awesome to be 22 and still doing SO...happy birthday, in any case! *nowIdon'thavetopostinthebirthdaytopic
