Thanks for your info. 25 pts was an excellent score early this season. It seems that competition stepped up big time at nationals. To get 12 pts means that travel time must be less than 2.5 sec with 0 target error. Amazing!

The winning team did, indeed, have ~12 points as their score. Second place was ~13 and third was ~14.

Not quite....

For Nationals, the randomly chosen distance was 10.3 m.

Stats for the top 6 teams in the Nation:
Place, Time, Distance, Score
1st, 3.474 s, 0.9 cm, 18.25
2nd, 3.443 s, 2.0 cm, 19.20
3rd, 3.760 s, 1.3 cm, 20.10
4th, 3.904 s, 1.2 cm, 20.70
5th, 3.739 s, 2.5 cm, 21.20
6th, 3.383 s, 6.5 cm. 23.40

The fastest Tier 1 vehicle was built by the team from Utah who covered the 8 m timed distance in 2.698 s, but were 29.1 cm away, and finished with a 42.60 which put them in 26th place.

Thanks for info. These type of scores are what I expected.

Is there a doc containing photos and raw scores for all participating MTVs, like last year nationals?

Whoops. I apologize. Probably a combination of me not remembering accurately and having the other number in my mind. Nonetheless, 18.25 is highly impressive!
