I hope this last puzzle actually takes thought....most of these have been either who's on fastest or just dumb luck (Basically...it's not going to be a whoever gets to looking at the puzzle first wins right?)

I thought they said it somewhere? No? Well then I'd have been lucky.

Since he said it would wait til you were all online, it probably is whoever looks first wins.

Each of the contestants sits waiting. Why won't the trapdoor open? What will become of them?

Suddenly the trapdoor flies open as if slamed from the other side by an invisible hand. Slowly they climb down, unsure. In the next room they see three keypads. The voice comes back: "The first two to find one of the zeroes of the equation will travel through the door to the next room. You may submit just one number per hour to try to figure out the answer. The equation is..." but just at that moment, the speakers erupt into nothing but static. What was the equation? Armed with only half of the instructions, the three remaining surviviors race to find the answer.

Only the most mathematical will survive

Each hour, you may send one PM with one number to zyzzyva98 and myself. We will respond with the output value from the equation. Once you figure out one of the zeroes of the equation you may pass through the door.

The voice comes back to life, no static this time. It says, "fmtiger124 and RandomPerson52. Please enter through the next room." The two look at each other, and with a high-five, enter through the door. "Please..." were the last words to be heard from lllazar.

On the other side of the room, fmtiger124 and RandomPerson look at each other. "So... this is it... what do you think will happen?" asks fmtiger. "It's hard to tell... but first we need to find the door." was RandomPerson's response. Looking around, they see no doors except the one they came through. Where are they?

Soon the room starts to spin and grow dark- or is that just them? And soon they both fall, unconsious.

Waking up dazed and confused, they find themselves in another pure white room, this time straped to a chair. Across the room lies 6 pictures- each having a picture of someone gone. Where have they gone to? Suddenly the voice comes back on. "You will see the six pictures of the people whom you have let down. Now you must face one of them- whom will it be?" The voice cuts off.

In this level, you will be decided who will return for the Final Level. Both fmtiger124 and RandomPerson52 must come to an agreement before sending in their vote. If they vote for different people or three days pass and both of them have not sent in the vote, someone will be picked at random.

Who shall return?

Wow. Imagine, i was working on Sci Oly, and i missed TWR. Kinda sad i didn't even get to try :( Oh well, nice game Brobo and Z!

I look forward to seeing whom Random and FM must face (if you pick me, i'll let you have a freshly baked cookie each before cutting off your fingers one at a time, swabbing them with HCl as i go).
