It was just plastic cylinders and wooden dowels. Some string tying. The construction should have been easy, but I probably flubbed BIG TIME.
We haven't been able to see what went wrong, but I'm kind of scared. 1st at both invites, and then 20th at regionals. Oh well.

Well, string tying can be difficult, because its hard to be precise with the various lengths of string. Also, depending on how many ways there were to connect the tubes and dowels, that could also be difficult.

One thing that me and my partner found out is that lot's of people didn't look closely at some things and missed the arrangement of numbers, like on dice and poker chips. MAny people missed that in regionals so we got first, keep a look out for those numbers! ;)
Events: Write It Do It, Disease Detectives, Mission Possible, Food Science. Quote~ Friend: What Happened? Me: Dumb Sidewalk. Friend: How can a sidewalk be dumb? Me: IT TRIED TO CATCH ME WHEN I FELL!~ and all of this happened at regionals this year.

But anything that can move can be moved in any way without getting points off, so if it can be rotated and it is, thats ok

Well that's just peachy. All I know about my partner is his name and he likes Call of Duty. Do you have any ideas on how to "conect" to his learning style? :?:

Also, like I've been saying, you can go through different materials and choose terms to go with each. It doesn't help if you just practice without discussing the results and where you went wrong. Go through and tell your partner how you're going to describe certain things (if you're the writer) or he'll tell you how he describes things. Just try to practice and discuss with as many materials as possible

I didn't write that... I definitely don't call things "peachy"
