I was in the other topic talking about the new bill that was passed, where it is free.

It doesn't make it free.....the main goal was to mandate health coverage for Americans and to prevent insurance companies from taking advantage of people

Obama’s vacations are ridiculous I agree, but they are true. Don't you know about the one he took to India for 200 million dollars a day? I think that that was a waste of tax dollars. We expect respect, we are paying for that. Couldn’t he have taken a less expensive vacation? The recent presidents seem to not understand that.

If I'm reading this right you may have misinterpreted something....I was calling the fact that you said his vacations cost 700million ridiculous. That visit to India was no vacation. It was a political visit aimed at improving US relations with South Asian nations. The rest of the world does not have a positive view of the US at this time--in no small part thanks to the Bush administration. Many nations see us as intrusive, demanding and condescending. These visits are necessary to improve the US' relations so that it is able to get international support when it needs it, and have favorable trade among other things. India is a rising power that happens to hate another nation crucial to our relations-Pakistan....we have to keep both on good terms. It's unfortunate it cost so much but in these days of terrorism and a less than stellar US image it's necessary.

It is no wonder why the other countries hate us, because we do not follow their advice, such as in the pension problem, and that we keep using quantitative easing, which is hurting our economy as well as theirs. Make sure you have read the entire bill please, before saying it is not free. It is supposed to be free, but they will have to raise taxes to egt money to make it free, which brings me back to my point of how the people are going to like these new taxes.

No, I use common sense. I am not following some news program, I am forming my own opinoin, not based on enyone else's that I know of. I know there are people that agree with me, but I was not brainwashed by them or anything.If you look at the market and the concept of quantitative easing, there is no opinion, it is fact that it will hurt other countries economies. Don't say "Um... what?" when you know what I mean. I suppose I will have to explain it to you so you will undertsand. I wanted you to understand the other side of it because it did not seem like you knew both sides. One has to know both sides to form any opinoin.

It amuses me how we are only aruing about what Obama and Bush did. Both did cause some problems. Lets take a look further back towards the root of of problems. Clinton and Carter both screwed things up. We never did fully recover after the Great Depression. Few taxes exsited 100 years ago and we had a great economy. Spending has increased since then and we have gotten worse. Not all democrats are bad. Not all republicans are good.

The vast majority of republicans and democrats in my opinion are bad. Do not assume I am republican, or a Bush fan. I am just talking about Obama because the other ones are in he past. I agree that spending is a big part of the problem, which was why I mentioned Obama's vacations.

It allows some small businesses to offer tax free benefits and people on Medicare will get preventative measures free and one year of doctor visits without cost (knowing Medicare...they'll find a way to make it cost something) but the general public will not get free health care. Prices may be put in check but it won't be in free.

EDIT: @Littleboy Higher Population + More technology + more developed and competitive world = higher spending = the need for the government to get more money somehow, that's just how it is. Clinton left us with one of the biggest surplus' we've had in our nations history and Reagan spent a ton. You can't go and single out the last two democratic presidents we've had and call it all their fault.

That vacation was not recommend by the right wing in the least bit. It was his decision. Acording to you it will not be free. Fine. But then how will every one be ensured? What about the people who do not want to be ensured?

He's trying to make "peace" mmkay? He's trying to make allies.

And right now, it couldn't hurt to have a few more "friends".
